We are the local (Oxfordshire) branch of the national Retired Greyhound Trust organisation which seeks to find homes for ex-racing greyhounds once they have retired.
At present the Oxford RGT has kennel space for approximately 20 dogs, and seeks to rehabilitate these dogs into homes where they can become family pets. There is a long waiting list for space in the Kennels, as we take retired dogs from all of the Oxford Greyhound Trainers at Oxford Stadium.
Can you help?
The Oxford RGT is run and organised entirely by volunteers and, as such, is dependent on local people giving up their time to help out. Contact us to find out how to get involved in raising funds or awareness for the Oxford RGT.
SPECIAL APPEAL
Today (30th January 2010) we brought back into Kennels Millrig Rock - he has lived in a home for 9 months sadly the family circumstances have changed and they were not able to keep Rocky.
Rocky was born in June 2005 he has a very loving nature - a good all rounder and at this present time can not understand why he has come back into Kennels.
Please consider Rocky if you are thinking of offering a home to a retired greyhound.
